Organize a Book Drive

Having a book drive to support our Bill's Bookshelf program is a fun and easy service project for groups or individuals.

We are always looking for new and gently used children's books for this program. Many of your friends and neighbors probably have books that their kids have outgrown that they'd be happy to donate, knowing that the books are going to get into the hands of the children who need them the most.

On average, 61% of low-income families have no children's books in their home. Literacy Council of Tyler is trying to lower that percentage in this community by having our Bill's Bookshelf displays in area offices and clinics frequented by under-served families.

For more information about how you can make a difference in these children's lives, contact Bailey Nichols, Director of Community Engagement.
